Jones team rider Alex Yoder is one lucky dude. Aside from growing up just down the road from Jackson Hole Resort, the young shred jedi earned himself the opportunity to ride with and learn from one of the local masters of the freeride game – Bryan Iguchi.

ESPNSnowboarding.com recently posted a video interview with Iguchi and Yoder that highlights their partnership and the many lessons that the backcountry veteran has passed on to the rookie. The video by Jeff Hawe features shots and footage of the two freeriding in the Jackson backcountry and is not to be missed.

“The most valuable thing I’ve learned from Bryan is to ride smart,” said Yoder. “Always be aware of the snow pack, respect the mountains, and know your way in and out of a line. This isn’t something he told me directly, it’s just something I picked up on while riding with him. He is very calculated. I hope to be charging as hard as he is when I’m pushing 40!”
