2013 Season Highlight The magic moments that give me the biggest stoke every winter are usually not the sickest or gnarliest lines. We had a lot of powder last winter in Austria and I remember a day having so much fun almost riding by myself after a big dump. Favorite Jones Boards The board I ride everyday is the Flagship 158. I love it because I can ride it in any terrain. For splitboarding I use the Solution 158 or the Women’s Solution 156. If you only got one pow day for the entire next winter, where would you ride? I would either choose heli supported AK lines to ride as much pow as possible or I would ride my home resort because I would know exactly where to go and what to do without wasting any precious time. What is one lesson every beginner splitboarder should know? 1st: Check the avalanche report to make a good choice where and when to go. 2nd: Get familiar with your gear before heading out.
What mountain ranges or lines are on your radar for this season? I always have plans in my head, but I make trip decisions according to where the conditions are the best. There are still some unridden peaks close by in Austria. Another "girls only" splitboard trip is on my list for sure as well.
