Women’s Solution

The ultimate splitboard

sizes available 148, 152, 156

Ideal for Backcountry Freeriding and Wilderness Exploration

The Women’s Solution Splitboard is a pure bred backcountry workhorse built to blaze a trail into a lifetime of untracked sunrises and sunsets. With a Solution in your board quiver you can explore the endless beauty of the backcountry and kiss lift lines and moguls goodbye. Mellow Magne-Traction on both inner and outer edges delivers confidence when the conditions get icy and the blunt nose and early rise tip and tail keep the Solution afloat on even the deepest days.

Profile

Directional Rocker

A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and slight camber between the bindings. The rockered tip gives the nose added float and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot gives you added edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.
“My experience is that most falls in freeriding start from the nose of the board – you either go over the bars in powder, the nose gets caught under a weird crust and tosses you, or you hit a hard tranny at the contact point of the tip and get bucked. Directional Rocker eliminates most of these falls. - Jeremy Jones

Splitboards

Jeremy Jones’ quest to build splitboards that shred equally as hard as solid boards was one of the founding goals of Jones Snowboards. All seven of our splitboard models are designed to meet that challenge and perform in the backcountry with every bit of the technical precision that our solid boards are renowned for. By sharing the same designs between solid boards and splitboards, we also offer the rare opportunity to master riding one board shape in bounds or out.

  • MELLOW MAGNE-TRACTION

Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Magne-Traction improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
“Magne-Traction is a key ingredient for rockered board designs. Adding rocker to your board makes it glide more smoothly, but it makes it harder to really lock into your turns and hold a solid edge. Magne-Traction is crucial to offset the drift typical of rocker flex patterns.” - Jeremy Jones

  • BLUNT NOSE

“How a board glides in powder, crust, corn, or any snow condition more then an inch deep is dictated by its front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer board tip without the added length or swing weight.” - Jeremy Jones

  • HARD CORE

Jones’ signature core, the Hard Core is a hybrid wood core designed for the ultimate pop, power transfer and durability. Featherweight Poplar stringers in the middle of the core are framed with bulletproof Beech stringers under the edges to produce a core that combines the snappy, even flex of Poplar with the damp, responsive benefits of Beech. Framing the sides of the core in the Beech hardwood creates unparalleled energy transfer to your edge and helps protect the board from harsh side impacts.

  • SINTERED BASE

Fastest natural base material available. Durable, more resistant to impact, absorbs wax faster and retains wax longer.

  • CARBON QUADRAX

Jones’ signature laminate composition, Carbon Quadrax features multi-layered, multi-axis fiberglass meshed with dual-zone carbon fiber power bands. The carbon power bands in the nose and tail dampen vibrations and create supreme longitudinal and torsional snap which keeps the board stable at high speeds and on steep terrain.

  • CARBON STRINGERS

Carbon stringers are added to select models to improve pop and torsional stiffness and increase the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day one - precise and playful.

  • FACTORY TUNED

All Jones Snowboards are factory tuned, detuned at the tip and tail and factory waxed so you can go from the shop right to the hill.

  • RECYCLED ABS SIDEWALLS

All Jones boards feature recycled ABS sidewall material.

  • ALU PROTECT

State of the art strength aluminum tip protectors. Elastomer is bonded to the aluminum to absorb vibrations.

  • STRONGER EDGES

We added 35% more steel than a typical edge, what this achieves is a 250% increase in impact resistance compared to other edges offered on the market today.

  • Karakoram Hardware

All Jones Splitboards exclusively feature Karakoram Hardware.

  • FLIP FLOP BASE

By flip flopping the base graphic colors, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield.

  • FILM TOPSHEET

A thin piece of film replaces the traditional plastic topsheet. This eliminates plastic and reduces the weight of the board.

  • STONE GROUND FINISH

For unmatched glide and wax adhesion we finish the bases of our boards with a stone ground structure pattern that’s race ready in all snow conditions.

  • The first bases to manufacture the best snowboards are the materials. From the woodcores to the ink, we’re using the best suppliers from the technical aspect, social and ecological.

  • We build our snowboards to be as high quality as they are high performance. Jones Snowboards stands behind the durability of our splitboards with a three-year warranty for approved manufacturing quality issues.

Proudly made in Austria

Jones Snowboards are proudly made at the GST factory in Antiesenhofen, Austria.

Our dedication to performance, durability and environmental responsibility makes this small town in central Europe the best place in the world for Jones to manufacture our boards. GST’s state-of-the-art factory is a snowboard-only production facility that specializes in working with cutting edge materials and innovative construction techniques. Their focus on strictly controlling every step in the production process has earned GST the lowest warranty rate in the snowboard industry.

But beyond quality of product, what makes GST the perfect partner is both their location and their passion for environmental stewardship. We are able to source 95% of our materials from within 500 km of the factory including steel edges from Germany, woodcores from Slovenia and inserts from Italy. GST’s central location to these premier material suppliers allows us to use less energy and transportation resources than if we were to build our boards in a private factory in the USA and source materials from around the world. Our environmental footprint is even further reduced by GST’s own practices. The company is a pioneer in sustainable ski/board manufacturing as the factory runs on recycled water and green energy.
