Jones team rider Miikka Hast is a true powder hunter. From Norway to Canada to Japan to AK, Miikka is always on the search for the best snow conditions on Earth.

This winter has been no exception. Miikka has been getting after it. He started his season splitboarding by head lamp near the Arctic Circle in Tamok, Norway before storm chasing to Japan in January.

Headlamps light the way up before the dim daylight starts to glow on the mountains. You want to be riding down when the short day is at it’s brightest. When the sky is clear, the light is really unique and beautiful…"

Miikka returned to Niigata, Japan this January. It was Miikka’s third trip to Niigata so he knew to bring the Hovercraft and the Ultracraft. Here he is cutting loose on the Ultracraft with a FS3. Photo by Jani Karppa.

Tough to beat hovercrafting in the Ja’Pow! Here’s Miikka shredding in Niigata.
