Meet The Team

The force is strong with this one.

Heavyweight backcountry freeriding, pow jumps, park jumps, rails - there’s no terrain that this guy can’t crush.

Please get up, stand up and give a rowdy holler for the latest rising star we have added to the Jones Pro Team…

JIMMY GOODMAN!!!

We are thrilled to support Jimmy as we are fully backing his style and diverse skill set. He’s a true shredder’s shredder who rides it all with a cool confidence but no ego.

"Jimmy has a bright future," said Jeremy Jones. "He can handle exposure both riding and hiking serious lines, he makes a proper turn no matter the snow and has a full bag of tricks. Combine his skills with his thirst for adventure and his total commitment to snowboarding and you have one of the most diverse and talented riders I have seen in a long time."

Jimmy is from New Jersey and grew up riding at Mountain Creek. He moved out to Mammoth the year after he graduated high school and has spent the last five years living in the Eastern Sierra. No doubt his ride-anything style comes from shredding Mammoth and the surrounding backcountry 100+ days a season.

"The terrain in Mammoth is awesome because you get a little bit of everything," said Jimmy. "We get deep days to huck and work on your skills, windy days that keep you on your toes riding pow to wind buff to hard pack and a lot of the terrain is really wide open so you get used to opening it up and carrying a lot of speed."

"I’m excited to ride for Jones because of the opportunity to learn from Jeremy," said Jimmy. "Definitely looking forward to spending as much time as possible in the backcountry with him and learning how to push my freeriding and backcountry skills to the next level."

We’re also excited to have Jimmy riding for us as he has a fine appreciation for a quiver and knows how to switch up his board choice to take full advantage of terrain.

"Jones has a board for everything," said Jimmy. "The Solution and Flagship are great for high speed lines, the Aviator is awesome for park and hard pack and the Hovercraft is sick for pow. All the boards are powerful and just perfect. You can tell every board has been rider proven."

"Jimmy has been ticking off some of the most proud and remote lines in the High Sierra the last few years," said Jeremy Jones. "His minimalist approach and ability to suffer through the mega days is rare to see in someone his age. Where he takes it from here I have no idea, and that is exactly why we are excited to work with him."

Welcome to the team Jimmy!
