About Forrest

Where is your favorite place to snowboard and why?

Right now it's whatever kind of snow conditions are in front of me. I try and enjoy it all. Beggars can't be choosers. Yes, sometimes the terrain matters, but more often than not, it's really about the state of mind. It could just be a fun day riding wth friends or good powder or especially finding new terrain that you've never been to before.

What has snowboarding or the mountains taught you?

Snowboarding has literally taught me everything in my life. I owe so much to snowboarding and the mountains. It has givene me so many things that i've been able to directy apply to my life outside of snowboarding - endless knowledge, resilience, respect, positivity, and patience. Every aspect of snowboarding has been about learning and just trying to give back and share with my community and friends. It's lead me on this adventure through life to places I would have never imagined. Being creative and open to share these places, keeps driving me.

Tell us about one incredible or influential snowboarding achievement or moment.

Looking back there have been many highights of my career but climbing and riding Denali was probably the biggest one, literally and figuratively. Our Denali Surf Team spent two weeks camped out at 14k camp riding nearly every line on the mountain including a couple snowboarding first descnts on Denali's North Peak. And all nine of us summited which was rad!

Forrest's favorite gear

Stratos – 159

"The Stratos is just an all-around rad alternative board. It's super nimble and responsive with a playful medium flex and works well riding switch thanks to the raised tail. Also love the Float Pack inserts for really deep days and surfy riding. Plus the base is insanely fast!"

Mind Expander Split – 158

"This split is such a treat to ride. From steeps to low angle it handles it all. Such a playful ride and love the shape in all conditions."
