That was our goal when we started re-designing our legendary Solution splitboard series three seasons ago. Since the Solution’s debut in 2010, thousands of backcountry riders around the world have come to recognize the Solution’s unmatched performance. To honor that legacy we worked relentlessly to push past every engineering obstacle and develop a new Solution that was truly revolutionary.
At long last we are thrilled to present the completely redesigned 20/21 Solution Series featuring a new shape, new materials and a groundbreaking 3D Contour Base. This stunning new edition of the world’s best selling splitboard is the first production splitboard in the world to feature a 3D Contour Base.

The Solution Series includes four models - Solution, Women’s Solution, Ultra Solution and Youth Solution. All four models feature a 3D Contour Base and a new shape. Inspired by the rounded bottom contours of surfboards, 3D Contour Bases have the tip and tail edges rounded up like a spoon. Adding this beveling makes every run smoother and every turn more effortless by reducing the drag of the board tips. The Solution, Women’s Solution and Ultra Solution feature our most advanced 3D Contour Base 3.0 with 7mm of bevel in the nose and tail. The Youth Solution features our 3D Contour Base 1.0 with 2mm of bevel in the nose and tail.

With 12.5 mm of taper, a refined nose shape and a directional rocker profile, the new Solution shape is our premiere directional freeride shape that’s built for charging in all-conditions. The added taper sinks the tail which helps the nose float above pow, crud or crust. Our Flagship model also features this refined shape, allowing you to ride the same shape at the resort or in the backcountry.
For those icy skintracks and bulletproof couloir entrances the Solution series has also been upgraded to Inner/Outer Traction Tech 3.0 edges. This edge pattern has three bumps per edge with the middle bump slightly bigger than the outer bumps for added grip between the feet.

The Solution is built for the discerning backcountry rider who demands unwavering performance in any terrain or snow condition. Featuring a mid-stiff flex and a damp board feel, the Solution is playful in soft snow, yet confidence inspiring on steep, hard snow. Beyond the new tapered directional freeride shape and 3D Contour Base, the Solution is built with our premium Ultra core, Flax/Basalt Power stringers and an ECO-plastic topsheet. The Solution also features the Boltless Bridge plus Karakoram Ultra Clips and Tip-Lock Tip Clips for unmatched torsional board lock.
Ultra Solution
The backcountry line bomber.
Previously named the Carbon Solution, the Ultra Solution is built for powerful riders who like to throttle turns at top speed and push the limits of what’s possible in the backcountry. The Ultra Solution features a stiff flex that makes it the most stable, damp and responsive split in the Jones line. In addition to the new tapered directional freeride shape and 3D Contour Base, the Ultra Solution is built with our premium Ultra core, an Ash Veneer topsheet and two layers of Carbon stringers. The Ultra Solution also features the Boltless Bridge and Karakoram Ultra Clips plus Tip Lock Tip Clips for unmatched torsional board lock.
Women's Solution
The ultimate all-terrain splitboard.
The Women’s Solution is built for hard charging backcountry riders who want a splitboard that can handle anything the wilderness throws at them. The mid-stiff flex, new tapered directional freeride shape and 3D Contour Base make the Women’s Solution playful in soft snow, yet confidence inspiring on firm snow. Rounding out the premium build, the Women’s Solution is constructed with our premium Ultra core, Flax/Basalt Power stringers and an ECO-plastic topsheet. For unmatched torsional board lock, the Women’s Solution also features the Boltless Bridge plus Karakoram Ultra Clips and Tip-Lock Tip Clips.
Youth Solution
The premiere youth splitboard.
The new Youth Solution is a high performance splitboard designed for youth and small adults. This fully featured splitboard throws open the door for smaller riders to confidently ride advanced backcountry terrain and explore the wilderness. The Youth Solution features the same directional freeride shape and rocker profile as the adult models just shrunk down to a smaller size. For speed and durability, the Youth Solution is built with a blazing fast Sintered 8000 base and the Boltless Bridge plus Karakoram Split and Tip + Tail Clips for solid torsional board lock.
