Great split for my wife! Really light and playful!

I am so in love with this board! Took it up hill today at Mary Jane and riding this board in fresh powder was so liberating. The skins fit perfectly and the board is literally a dream.

This board would be a great board for a light beginner or casual cruiser. It's pretty soft and playful. The board floats nicely in powder and does okay in chunder.

Soooooo enjoyable, only skins could have a bit better grip — but super hyped still and cant wait for it to be winter again!

I bought my board new for the 2020 season. Before I even had the stickers off of the top sheet or any hardware for the bindings mounted, the carbon top sheet began delaminating near the outer edge of the board and made a visible bubble roughly the size of a 50 cent piece. While I was pretty irritated that my new board was defective and that I had to waste a bunch of time (and down time in the middle of winter) dealing with what to do about the problem, I reached out to Jones directly at their office in California along with pictures, a description of the issue, proof of purchase and simply asked them on what they would like to do. I put the ball in their court without making demands.

I taped off the area in question on the top sheet so the warranty dept. wasn't second guessing upon arrival. Jones had the snowboard maybe two days and I received a phone call indicating they were replacing the board with the 2021 model. Stoked. That is service along the lines of Patagonia, REI and Arc'Teryx. Stoked I was hooked up with the 2021 model to make things right. For those of you with warranty issues, I suggest taking a helpful approach before you burn any bridges. Jones has a customer for life now that I know they will do the right thing.

Regarding the board its self; this thing is so sick. Roughly half the weight of competitors boards, skinning up the mountain is much easier and I can go deeper without fatiguing earlier. Sure the price tag is tough to swallow at first, but you are paying in part for the reduction in weight that you have to drag around. Frankly, if your core gear isn't full carbon (aside from your shovel being aluminum), you're doing yourself a great disservice by overworking with useless weight.

Coming from a surfing background, this board does have that surf feel in the pow. Flex is forgiving, the side cut radius is forgiving, edge hold is great, flex pattern is forgiving and the whole setup doesn't need to be forced like say, riding a Burton Custom X for example. Splitting the board/affixing the board is pretty easy and can be done with gloves on. Skin attachment and removal is easy. As an aside, I recommend you get the Pro skins with the Glide Tech feature as this greatly mitigates gum up due to changing snow conditions from icey, to wet (I'm talking to you people in Washington). Definitely worth the extra $40.

The snowboard its self is pretty sick, but the fact I was down three weeks during peak season due to delamination issues is why I have rated the board at 4/5 stars. Their warranty process is a 5/5. My only wish is that they made this board in a non-split version, like a carbon Ultracraft. I would be all over this like white on rice. Ultracraft Splitboard...you need one.

I have had a few splitboards over the years and some of the earlier Ultracraft boards as well. This one is magic. They have always been so nice in powder but this one seems to be able to take anything I throw at it. Keeps an edge on piste but is really for deeper snow. I love the setback that allows me to ride weight even on my feet, no tired back leg trying to keep the tip up. Makes for much easier days in the backcountry.

Just got a 154 dreamcatcher earlier this season (I'm 5'7", 130 lbs without gear, and happy I got the 154). It's definitely a great board - way more playful and maneuverable than the G3 Blacksheep (my last board, also 154 but waaay stiffer, think it had some carbon in it). 4/5 stars because it has about a 1-1.5 mm gap throughout the split. I can hear the split edges grinding together when I'm riding and my G3 definitely did not do this. I've read one other review that noted this gap and it's unclear to me if this is an area that could use improvement, or maybe is necessary for the amount of flex the board has?... (which I think is what makes it so much better than my last board). Despite the gap, it is still a great purchase and am recommending to all my friends. 10x better for me than the G3. Honestly want to get the unsplit version because I like it more than my other resort boards.

Ultracraft Split

What a fun board ! After riding for 2 seasons in bound on a Jones board, I knew I wanted a Jones split. I'm so glad I purchased the dream catcher ! Being a petite person, it was one of the few boards that came in a comfortably ride-able size for me. Great maneuverability and stability in powder and springtime slush. I also really like how easy it is to build this board , the clips are easy to align and lock down with cold/gloved hands. Overall, a great split for an intermediate rider getting into the backcountry!

I love the way this board rides, great in powder but makes you wanna play around too. I'm so glad I went for the board I wanted instead of trying to get splitboarding gear on the cheap. Are you thinking about getting it? Trust me, just pull the trigger and get this one.

I love the ultracraft, and have both the solid and the splitboard. They are rock solid, and perform well here on the northwestern coast of Norway.

However, during the first season on the split, the topsheet started delaminating, so moisture could get in. That's unnacceptable in this price range, but there was no help from the warranty. The next season it only got worse, and i still got no help.

After buying a second ultracraft split for this season, i'm a bit disappointed to see other reviewers got help for the same problems, and i worry for it happening to my second one.. I have to sell the first one for a very low price, and i can't help but feeling a bit ripped off.

A board with both versatility and stoke all in one product. I purchased this board when I moved to the Montana Rockies this year, and it is by far one of the surfiest boards I have ever ridden. Although split boards tend to have a stiffer reputation, this board has a great mid-flex and light feeling whether you're in the backcountry or doing laps at a resort. While I usually ride my Burton board at a resort, I honestly have preferred to ride this split instead! Try it on Cold Smoke powder. It is a religious experience! 10/10

I've ridden lots of boards in the past, mostly Burton, and the first day on this Dreamcatcher splitboard and it's all I want to ride (even at the resort). I'm considering getting the regular Dreamcatcher for resort days because I love the split so much. Perfect mid-flex and responsiveness, but holds the line well on big turns, too. The only issue with this split that I'd flag for Jones and potential buyers is that it has a 1mm gap down the center, which is a bummer, since my friends riding other splits have next to no gap, yet the light shines through mine. Doesn't seem to affect performance so far, but think the quality can be brought up a notch in this area, as I worry this gap will get bigger as I break in the board. I've had all my clips adjusted for the right tension, yet the gap still exists (my board tech says a little gap should be ok, but that brands are getting better at completely closing that gap, so hope Jones can make this happen).

This board is not only beautiful, but plays like a dream in the backcountry. Super easy to split and put back together, love the flex for more variability in conditions. I am 5'9" 130lbs and got the 154 which I am happy with and does well in pow. I ride a 152 W's Flagship, and was advised that the 154 Dream Catcher will feel more similar to the 152 Flagship due to the shape, and I agree. Love this thing!

He wears a 12.5 boot and so finding the right splitboard required some research. Love my Dream Catcher splitboard. It's really playful and responsive, perfect for backcountry riding!

It's comfortable for lifting and stable on the powder.

I had the pleasure of riding this beauty in Japan back country. Waist deep powder and she held up like a dream!

First off, riding the Ultracraft is the most fun I have had riding a snowboard. It is light, quick, and responsive. The nose has kept me upright when on other boards I would have gone over the tip. The board is easy to get up the mountain because it is so light.

I love this board so much I talked my best friend into buying one, and I bought one for my dad.

However, my board's top layer developed a crack while riding normal conditions. That cost the board the 5th star. That being said, Jeremy Jones Co. is replacing it under warranty. I am so excited, I just have to wait until next year because they are currently out of the board.

This thing just floats and carved with no effort to keep it from diving; Its a bizarre sensation. The only weakness I could find is charging through chop but I think that has more to do with the shorter length that you run this board than any inherent flaw in the board. It still cuts through the chop like a hot knife you just have to be a touch more attentive as the tail seems to want to squirm a bit. Still better than most boards Ive ever ridden. It really is a well thought out design that excels when its deep but doesnt back down in variable conditions.

I was a venture storm fan, it was do it all board n I loved it.
However, in an effort to lose weight from my backcountry split board setup i tried the Jones Ultracraft.
The most awesome board I have ever ridden! I now also own the hovercraft for my inbounds board and a back up backcountry split hovercraft.
My wife also rides the hovercraft and it has taken her to a new level of confidence and speed!
