Shape & profile

A snowboard's outline defines many of its characteristics, from how it turns or floats in powder to its performance riding switch. Shape affects everything from the width and taper of the nose and tail, to the position of the stance relative to the board's center.

Medium 3D Contour Base

3D Contour Base tuned for all-terrain featuring 4mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0-4mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before the contact points.

How it works

Riding flat

When riding flat, the spoon bevel on the edges is not engaged, but it does help smoothly deflect snow away from the nose of the board.

Turn initiation

As you begin to make a turn, the spoon bevel helps you smoothly roll the board on to your egde with less friction and edge drag.

Mid turn

In the middle of a turn, camber and Traction Tech keep you locked onto your egde in the center of the board while the spoon bevel reduces the "plow effect" of your nose and tail edges.

Jones frontier2.0

I’ve been riding this board for a month and a half. It’s a good all-around board that’s forgiving for beginners. It handles well and glides smoothly. The only downside is that the topsheet is very thin. As for bindings, I used Jones Orion.

I literally fell in love with the Frontier the first time I used it. It's incredible how easy it is to ride and how it doesn't tire your legs. I've tried it on different terrains and it has always performed very well. I was already impressed when I read the specifications and reviews, but I didn't believe that such a high-performance and forgiving board could exist. Highly recommended!

Amazing Underdog

What a board! This has to be the most underrated board out there. Quick edge to edge, amazing edge hold, nimble when needed. Steeps, bumps, high speed carving, side hits... As much as I enjoy a hard charging, stiffer board, this is the most fun board I rode in years. Not to be underestimated.

Got scratched up first run and the wax dosent hold good and I got a few scratches and a crack on the top of my board already I’ve took this thing 3 times now and it carves good but that’s about it very meh material

Good to hear the Frontier 2.0 is carving well, but the early wear you’re seeing isn’t what we want from the build. That’s solid rider input on durability and wax retention — we’ll pass this on to the product team for review.

I just love it! (review for beginners)

I was a beginner, this is my first board. And I love it, so light, playful and surfy! If you also are a beginner who tried snowboarding 2-3 times and want to commit into it. I recommend this board! You can grow on it easily, very forgiving and so much fun!
(Tips : try a more narrow stance in posi posi, I was surfing though the slush!)
Can't wait to become good at snowboarding to push it!

I just finished a week in Ischgl Austria on the

I just finished a week in Ischgl Austria on the new Frontier and And I was blown away on how it performs. I like boards and I have had many. I've started riding at 38 and I am going to be 70 soon. I wanted an easier board to ride this time and I knew that it is going to be good in powder but I was worried about hard pack and ice and on this trip it hasn't snowed at all unfortunately and what we had mostly was hard pack. My worries all vanished within 2 minutes. Great edge hold, super easy to turn not the fastest but certainly fast enough, xlnt base it glides very well,didn't catch an edge once. This is far from being a a beginner board and I think anyone will enjoy it. I spent at least half of my time on black diamond slopes on this trip and it is really confidence inspiring. I can't wait to try it in powder . This is the most fun and the best that I felt on a board in a while. My favorites boards ever were the Ride Timeless when it came out and many years later the Rome Mod Rocker.
For me it feels like something in between these two. I just love it , after a few minutes it felt like it was made especially for me...

the new shape is a huge improvement. the old shape was so bland and steered me away from the board but with the updates in design it has quickly become a favourite :)

Men’s Frontier 158W

The Board is great fast responsive and looks good. Only problem someone ran into me and top sheet chip already. 5’11 200IBS went with 158W very playful and maneuverable. No complaints will buy from Jones again super fast shipping also.

Une super planche, polyvalente, sécurisante, et qui en a sous le pied!
Elle m'a été conseillée en magasin (No Limits Cauterets), et j'ai été bien conseillé.
Ma pratique se fait sur pistes, en bords de pistes et un peu de snowpark.
Elle excelle partout : elle est rapide et réactive, sans être fatigante. Elle est stable quand le rythme accélère, et sécurisante, que ce soit à haute vitesse ou en réceptions.
Rigide, elle en reste assez facile d'abord, et pas piégeuse ni trop fatigante.
Bref, un pur bonheur, c'est la planche qu'il me fallait!
