The kingpin is the fulcrum that the hanger pivots on. Design magnifies energy transfer and enhances board response through leverage,
The post attaches the hanger to the kingpin and is the connection between binding and board.
Bushings are the primary binding contact point and offer customizable response and dampening (Surf mode vs Freeride mode).
Skate Tech bindings feature a built-in dampening system for ultimate control bombing flat on your base. The baseplate rests on rubber bushings that absorb vibrations as you ride over rough snow. The binding also follows your every foot movement without altering the flex of the board and offers unmatched board feel for making micro edge adjustments as you ride flat.
Power is transmitted directly to the edge. When you make a hard heel or toe turn the force you place on your straps and highback is transferred directly to your edge through the hanger, kingpin and post. By using the mechanical advantage of this pivot and lever system, Skate Tech bindings are the most responsive bindings in the world. Once on edge, you are locked in.
Power is transmitted through the center disk. When you make a hard heel or toe turn on traditional bindings the pressure you place on your straps goes into the fixed center disk and forces the binding baseplate to bend before power is delivered to the edges. Energy is concentrated at the center of the board with traditional rigid baseplates which decreases potential turn power compared to Skate Tech bindings

Position the wide half of the strap below the buckle for solid heel support but more ankle flexibility for getting loose. Use Soft Bushings for a looser, more dynamic feel.

This crap design would keep breaking during cold weather. Those bindings strips did not survive -19C weather conditions.
For 275$ you can do better. I would never buy Jones bindings again.

Great binding and definitely your choice if you need an Allrounder that’s not to stiff but not to soft either. Has all the functionality a binding needs at reasonable pricing
Really big my size 42 boot barely fits on the smallest setting
Love the feel, specially being a surfer. One gripe I have is the toe strap seems to keep sliding off. Even on my Orion, the toe strap does the same in the middle of a ride.
Paired with the mountain twin it crushes with ultimate toe to heel control
This was my first new board and bindings in 24 years! I was a bit worried, but these are super comfortable and they work great with my Mountain Twin board! I rode hard for two days and easy for one so far on the new setup. Mostly freeride, with a couple little jumps and rollers. I quickly learned I could trust these bindings fully!
Big upgrade from my previous bindings.

Great binding, the kingpin design makes for a very responsive edge to edge transition and the straps are as comfortable as any bindings I've owned.

The meteorite bindings are awesome! They combine support and flex really well allowing for a very pleasant surfy feel while definitively transferring energy to the edge you’re on.
The only improvement is the clasps could be sturdier. They stick if you don’t work them just right but that’s a lot better than coming loose :100:
Other than that, I’d highly recommend them!
Took me a minute to adjust from my old bindings, was more responsive. Stoked on the Frontier/Meteorite combo!
I’ve been super happy with the Meteorite bindings on my Jones Mtn Twin. Took it out for 4 days up at Squaw, performance was great. Stayed on the steeps and in the trees. The Jones recommendation to pair with the board was spot on. Gear was the highest quality, couldn’t be happier with my choice!

Excellent all mountain ride. Good in Midwest ice and Rocky Mountain powder. Very comfortable fit, easy in/out, and overall very responsive.
The meteorite bindings are everything I need and nothing I don't. The comfy minimalist straps and medium flexing high back and baseplate provide a stable platform while the skate tech keeps everything smooth and dampened. I'm also a fan of the clean and simple one-piece highbacks.

Skate teck feels really good the Pressure transmits progressively to the edge. Medium reactive higback. Really good for fast riding, jumps and holds good to icy conditions.
I rode these bindings all last season. My favorite thing to do with these bindings is to throw down hard carves while going fast. These bindings are so responsive edge to edge when carving but also allow you to feel like you're surfing when riding deeper snow. These are my all-around go-to bindings for any conditions.
These are great skins. Fit perfect!
The tightening strap at the end of the skins are someone difficult for me to tighten. That might change over time though. Other than that, I live my new skins!
