Details

Shape & profile

A snowboard's outline defines many of its characteristics, from how it turns or floats in powder to its performance riding switch. Shape affects everything from the width and taper of the nose and tail, to the position of the stance relative to the board's center.

Shape image

[Shape]

Directional

A directional outline with a longer nose, shorter tail and setback stance to optimize float, maneuverability and edge power. Designed for riders who prioritize performance on groomers and in the backcountry over park riding.

[Pr0file]

Freeride CamRock

Versatile freeride profile featuring camber underfoot with an extended nose rocker and shorter tail rocker. This generates powerful edge hold, precise response and confidence at speed, combined with exceptional float and maneuverability in powder.

[Tracti0n_tech]

High Traction Tech

High Traction Tech features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding). The middle bump is bigger than the outside bumps for better grip and control.

[Taper]

Medium Tapered

A sweet-spot for directional shapes that need to float in powder but still hold their own across variable snow and terrain. Nimble in deep snow, precise on piste and versatile enough to handle a full day on the mountain. Any shape with 10–15mm of taper between the nose and tail.

3D Contour Base

Shape image

Surf-inspired shaping for next-level performance.

Inspired by the rounded bottom contours of surfboards, 3D Contour Bases are designed to make every run smoother and every turn more effortless by reducing the drag of the board tips. 3D Contour Bases enhance glide and improve float, helping you ride faster and with better flow. Learn more

[3d_pr0file]

High 3D Contour Base

Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0-7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before the contact points.

How it works

Riding flat
Riding flat

When riding flat, the spoon bevel on the edges is not engaged, but it does help smoothly deflect snow away from the nose of the board.

Turn initiation
Turn initiation

As you begin to make a turn, the spoon bevel helps you smoothly roll the board on to your egde with less friction and edge drag.

Mid turn
Mid turn

In the middle of a turn, camber and Traction Tech keep you locked onto your egde in the center of the board while the spoon bevel reduces the "plow effect" of your nose and tail edges.

My go to split

Jones is still crushing it by making this board. I’m fortunate to have a quiver of splitboards and I consistently grab this one unless it is super deep. It tours great, breaks trail with ease, and handles any snow conditions. I ride it with both hard boot and soft boot set ups. Definitely my favorite Splitboard design!!

Perfection!

Man, splitboards have come a long way in the last 15 years. This board is magic. The connection between the two sides is solid, and the vibrations I used to have with previous boards are gone. I did a sidecountry lap on the weekend and then rode it on the resort after; it rode like a regular snowboard, not a splitboard.

Ultra terrain explorer

I had the pleasure of spending allot of time on this board this past season. Long days to multi night tours from the Sierra to the to the cascade volcanoes to the cold smoke of the Wasatch. Hands down lightest board I have ever had while also being sturdy and stable. I hit rocks on multiple occasions even on the edge without any delaminating or major damage. Very impressived with the durability and versatility of this split. Feels good from pow to variable conditions and rides well switch. The perfect quiver killer.

Great Upgrade to the Hovercraft

Definitely a light and responsive splitboard. Excels in powder but holds it together on anything else. I've got this board in 2023, but had previous versions. Some of the older ones had durability issues. This one has been holding up better, so far. Incredible board.

Solid & Powerful

Unreal board- does not feel like a split at all. Amazing float, lays some serious trenches, extremely responsive, and is exactly what I was looking to get out of a split setup. Highly recommend.

Ultra Solution

This board rips! The 3D contour base allows you to rock into turns with little effort and floats like a dream. Firm conditions on the skin track were no problem with the Traction Tech 2.0, I felt completely locked in. This is a high performance board, and it’s not for everyone. But, if your idea of fun is steep terrain at high speeds this board will amaze you.

skins with motr grip

I bought the ultra solution in November 2021 and installed interface prime light and guide hb karakoram bindings for hard boots.
I use your nomad pro pomoca skins.
In six months I have been snowboarding in powder, wet snow, icy snow, ice and rock.
I think the split is good on the climb, light and stiff enough on the descent, the float in fresh snow and powder is very good.
I would use more carbon to decrease the weight, in the 90s I used an asymmetric with a lot of carbon for slalom, it went fast.
When climbing on icy traverses the blade does not take well, the board does not deform in such a way as to be able to follow the shape of the hard or icy wall and being obviously wide, the weight of the leg and body is not transmitted on the edge blade that grips the wall.
Another thing, In my opinion you should plan to sell 100% nylon skins, because nomad pro get too wet in hot weather and sometimes lack grip on icy snow and steep walls.
I bought and cut G3 + grip (blue) skins for my ultra solution which weigh more but have much more grip on ice and icy snow and steep, a huge difference with the pomocas.
I had used both with other splitboards, also kohla I used, for the split in difficult situations best of all are the G3, even if the glue that uses pomaca is better.
The karakoram clips you have installed are the best on the market ever, better than the voile or spark clips I've used over the years.
Downhill the splitboard is really good, even on ice you hardly feel the difference with a solid snowboard, on fresh snow it is perfect.

Next year I think I'll try an ultracraft 160 splitboard.

Looks amazing, just waiting for next season

Looks fantastic and amazingly well built, set it up with Karakoram hard boot split setup and was ready to take it out….then I broke some bones and have been out for the season
I’ve been happy with my past Jones split
It’s nice to look at - skins fit perfect, feels stiff, likely responsive and bulletproof
Waiting for next year…..

Great fun in ski mod or snowboard mode

Great board that worked for me in the resort just as well as in the backcountry. When I went with new skiers I would even spend the day in ski mode without skins. Got some fun looks and actually had a great time learning to ski.
Glad I went for the Ultra solution as well - the added stiffness and reduced weight were welcomed from my previous board.

Amazing!

Amazing board! Weight ist perfect for walking uphill and it still performs good in Powder and steep Conditions. Perfect for anyone who likes the Uphill as much as the Downhill.

Top of it’s class

Amazing board, great edge grip, easy to turn, light for going up hill, very stable at high speeds and on bigger lines. I’ve mounted karakoram binding on it. One of the plastic connectors cracked on one my tourings. It didn’t affect the day, but after speaking with Karakoram, I upgraded the riding plates with their machined aluminium ones = much better. The updated tip lock and ultra clips are nice. The board still has tendency to separate along the joining line when carving hard (the closest ‘’ski’’ to the carving side flexes more and light is seen between the 2 between the 2 bindings (if the wording makes any sense). This doesn’t affect performance or anything, just part of riding a split.

Solution Ultra

As a vintage Alaskan rider I moved to a hard boot set up after a trip to Chamonix in 2018, many were using HB setups and faster uphill=more runs so the Jones US became the platform to build my AT style split. With the carbon layup it’s way stiffer under foot when in soft sugary uphill skin mode sessions. The durability is beast in class;) I respect the Jones dedication to the craft and appreciate having a solid option made in the US with best material and a company that gives a shit about their impact on all levels! Excited to see what’s next from Jones SB and thank you.

Upgrade to Ultra Solution

I was recently on a Jones Twin mountain splitboard and felt the board was under powered for my style of riding. Upgrade to the Ultra Solution and it was a night and day difference. Amazing on deep powder and very predictable feel when carving.

My dream board

Stiff and responsive but not too stiff, still very playful. Floats like a dream in pow and handles the gnar with stability and excellent edge grip.

The best splitboard !

best board for east coast

I make surfboards for a living the last 23 years. I had my own pro snowboard model I designed in my younger years. I know design for east coast. This board is it. works on the steep tech, in big pow, and in the trees. oh ya and it carves like a race board. Like shaping surfboards for the east coast we have lots of different conditions and usually you need a quiver. This board works for me in everything.

Best goin up, Bestest goin down

If you are on the fence between the regular solution and this piece of art, sign up for door dash, mow some lawns and sell your crypto because this board is worth it. Rode the regular solution for a few seasons and made the switch, the weight difference will have you flying up the skin track passing the
skiers. Only gets better when you turn those bindings and set those clips for the decent. Whether you point it or slash through tight trees this board will have your back. Fast turn response with unrivaled edge hold even on iced out faces, all the while so stable the voice of Ricky Bobby starts yelling at you IF YOUR NOT FIRST YOUR LAST and you shake and bake down that face faster then you ever thought possible. Blacked out design is pretty cool too.

Gamechanger

The Ultra solution is the apex of splitboard technology! It charges!! The stiffness is incredible and holds up long term even hammering hard uneven skin tracks. I have to trust my equipment with my life riding big lines in Alaska, this board has been there for me. Hands down I have ridden the gnarliest runs of my career on this board. Love eveything about it!

Top Notch

Construction on this board is top notch - clean finish and lightweight, but still feels sturdy. Really lively, energetic flex. Extremely fast base and quick edge-to-edge. All you really need in a charger splitboard
