Baseplate

Baseplate image

Fusion XR Baseplate

Engineered for board feel and edge power.

The Fusion XR Baseplate is engineered to disappear under your feet and feel like a natural extension of your board. Its asymmetrical, low-profile shape is built from an innovative blend of four materials, delivering the ideal balance of strength, cushioning, and response.

Pure board feel, instant edge power

The only hard contact with the board is the precision-shaped, ultra-minimal ring around the disc (red). Around it is vibration-absorbing foam (yellow) that preserves natural flex and cushions every ride. This minimal-footprint design flexes naturally for pure board feel and energy transfer, delivering powerful edge response while still allowing lateral flex for ultimate control.

Baseplate volume

The FASE System is seamlessly integrated into the heelcup without adding bulk. The Mercury FASE Binding in size Medium measures 294 mm in length, identical to other Jones bindings.

Highback

Highback image

AsymFlex Highback: Engineered for the perfect balance of power and comfort.

The AsymFlex Highback features a mid-wide profile and mid-stiff flex that deliver rock-solid edge control when locking into carves, while still offering enough give to tweak grabs and style out turns.

Asymmetrical + Winged Outline: Shaped to match your boot for a natural fit and efficient power transfer. The external Wing adds leverage and drive through turns at any stance angle. The lower section stays stiffer for control and support, while the upper section is softer for comfort and mobility.

Asymmetrical Spine: Reinforced on the external side for powerful response, softer on the internal side for tweakability and all-day comfort.

2-Position Forward Lean: Tool-less adjustment for a reactive or more relaxed ride.

Folding Highback: Kick it forward for clear chairlift rides, easy skating, or compact storage.

ImpactCush Pad

DualFlex Ankle Strap

The asymmetrical DualFlex Ankle Strap features a stiff TPU core for lightning fast response and softer TPU edges for all-day comfort and universal boot fit.

Adaptive Fit Toe Strap

Adaptive Fit Toe Strap

The Adaptive Fit Toe Strap features a flexible exterior outline that shapes to your boot, a denser center spine that ensures a secure lock and a textured interior surface that grips onto your boot.

Couldn’t be happier!

Super impressed! It has been my daily driver for about 30 days here in Australia and it’s been so reliable. The binding is light and more responsive and comfortable than my Union Force. Getting in is super quick and I honestly haven’t found a downside. Already planning to grab a second pair for my pow board in Japan.

Pretty good - exitement is real!

I rode the Mercury FASE probably 10 times last winter and although it was too small for my Feet (Need a Large) the system worked great! Performance was sick - just like a regular two strap!

What a Great feeling

I rode it in mostly every condition besides in the backcountry. Super fun on groomers, slush, and resort bashing days. Had a great board feel and responsiveness. Felt the best while riding resort

20 days on the Game Changer

Spent about 20 days riding the the Mercury Fase in all types of conditions. Spring slush, early April pow and anything in between, and was blown away. It's the ride feel of the traditional Mercury's but you strap in lightning fast and easy. With no extra weight penalty and very few mechanical parts, the Fase system is going to be the new standard in my opinion.

FASE bindings are super intuitive to use. Getting in and out is second nature after a run or two. It is not until you return to a traditional binding that you realize how convenient and fast FASE bindings are. You just get off the lift, slide your back foot in while still gliding, and charge down the mountain.

FASE, Fast Entry! On the first day of riding, I forgot I was on a new binding. The responsiveness and control is amazing.

Victor De Le Rue

Winner of the Freeride World Tour on the Mercury FASE.

I got to really like the Fase bindings after a winter in them. Hardly had to adjust my strap-in process because it’s so seamless, and I just got to be even faster rolling around the mountain all day. Seems like just a little thing, but makes a big difference.

FAQ

FASE system & Mercury FASE binding

Is the FASE Fast Entry System trusted by Jones Pro Riders?

Yes! Riders like Jeremy Jones, Victor de Le Rue, Marissa Krawczak, Harry Kearney, and Garrett Warnick rely on the FASE Fast Entry System to push performance every day. Last season, Victor de Le Rue won the Freeride World Tour and Harry Kearney won the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom on their Mercury FASE bindings.

Is it really compatible with any brand of snowboard boots?

Absolutely! The FASE Fast Entry System works seamlessly with all snowboard boots on the market.

Does the FASE Fast Entry System work in deep powder?

Absolutely. Victor de Le Rue and Jeremy Jones trust it every day in all conditions. Obviously in deeper snow, it’s important to take a moment to remove snow from your bindings before getting ready to strap-in, as the FASE Fast Entry System is mountain-tested and deep snow is not a problem. If needed, you can also strap in just like a traditional two-strap binding.

Does the FASE Fast Entry System work in steep terrain?

Yes. The system is designed to perform in every condition and on any terrain. In the rare case (less than 1% of situations) where the terrain makes entry tricky, you can simply unstrap both straps and strap in just like a traditional binding.

Is the FASE Fast Entry System safe?

The FASE Fast Entry System is incredibly safe. It is as secure and safe as existing two-strap binding models and has undergone thousands of hours of on-snow testing and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Is the FASE Fast Entry System durable?

Yes, it’s built to withstand all terrain and conditions! The minimal mechanism has been rigorously tested for over seven years and is trusted by pro riders. Plus, the system comes with a lifetime* warranty.

How much does it weigh?

The FASE Fast Entry System is seamlessly integrated into the Jones Mercury Binding, keeping the weight fully comparable to other high-end two-strap models. The system is extremely minimalistic and weighs 40 g (1.4 oz). The Jones Mercury FASE in size Medium weighs 895 g (31.6 oz), putting it right in line with traditional bindings on the market.

Do I really only need to use one hand to strap-in?

Absolutely! Thanks to our specially designed extra-long FastStrap ladder, which remains attached, strapping in with one hand is effortless for every rider.

Do I need to press any levers to get out?

No, just open the straps and remove your boot as you normally would. We’ve streamlined the process, eliminating unnecessary steps and keeping things simple—no levers required.

Can I snap (fold) my highback onto the heel cup?

Yes, it’s designed for that! The highback FWL block and pedal are specifically designed to snap in and out, allowing you to fold the highback flat for chairlifts, skating, and easy storage. You can also enter the binding without snapping it manually, as it will auto-snap once your boots are in.

Does it add volume to the binding? Is the heelcup thicker?

No. The system is extremely minimalistic and does not add any noticeable size. The Jones Mercury FASE in size Medium has a length of 294 mm, which is fully comparable to any traditional binding and identical to the Jones Mercury without the FASE System.

Will the system make the binding feel loose?

Not at all. The FASE System keeps your boot locked in with the same trusted security as a traditional two-strap binding. Riders often say it feels even more snug and connected, giving them extra confidence on every run.
