Super responsive binding held back by limited adjustability and terrible aftermarket support (recommend Rome or Bataleon in comparison). Make sure this what you really want.
Positive: These are a precision weapon, and I love skate-tech with my freeride boards.
HOWEVER, wear and tear replacement parts/straps have been a nightmare. My apollos spent last season just collecting dust as a result. Hard to recommend these - my Astro FW got the job done while these $700 bindings were held back by less than $20 replacement parts.
Full saga below, recommend having backup bindings before investing in these.
Last season my local shop never received a “special order” from their Jones rep, despite constant follow-ups. I finally went to order direct last season - out of stock. While frustrating, that’s somewhat understandable as Feb/March is a high demand time. Fast forward 7 months…there’s now no spare parts available on their website. No worries, I chat with customer service about ordering some. Got confirmation they had the parts and would send them to me complimentary, just need to send a confirmation email. Awesome support, I’m feeling great about these guys….this was followed by 10 days of silence. Restarted comms via email this time - to their credit they were responsive and didn’t drop off comms. I was happy to order through them and pay, but ultimately they told me to order the compatible parts from #YES Snowboards. Fingers crossed the footbeds and other proprietary parts (highbacks) hold up.
SMH, what a headache.
