About kids + youth snowboards

Built for progression at every age

Our kids and youth snowboards use the same proven Jones shaping and on-snow testing as our adult line. From first turns to all-mountain riding, each model delivers easy edge control, smooth turn initiation and reliable stability to help young riders progress with confidence.

Choosing the right kids snowboard

The best snowboard for a first snow experience (Kids under 4)
The Happy Mountain Snowboard Package (board+bindings) is the perfect first snowboard for learning balance and getting comfortable on snow. Built without metal edges for safety, it includes a retractable tow reel to pull your little rider uphill and control their speed downhill, plus a foam pad for sitting, sliding and playing. The exclusive 3D Base helps them glide smoothly and maintain better balance.

The best snowboard for learning to turn (Kids ages 4–9)
The Youth Prodigy is ideal for mastering those first real turns. Its camber + rocker profile and directional twin shape help kids carve confidently without catching edges. Designed for fast progression, it’s a stable, forgiving choice for exploring all types of resort terrain.

All-mountain and freeride boards for young riders (Kids 8+)
For kids ready to ride the whole mountain, our scaled-down adult models deliver real all-mountain performance. The Mountain Twin Junior and Twin Sister Junior offer versatile resort riding with the same shapes and technologies as the adult versions. For young freeriders who want to float turns and ride steeps, the Flagship Junior is the go-to.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right snowboard size?

Your ideal snowboard size depends on your weight and boot size. We’ve made sizing simple: open any snowboard product page and click Find my size. Our size tool will calculate your perfect length based on your riding profile. To decide between two sizes, choose the smaller size if your priority is maneuverability and freestyle performance, choose the larger size if you're focused on riding fast and powder performance. A shorter board will be easier to turn and a longer board will offer better float and stability riding off-piste.To learn more about snowboard sizing and view the full size chart, check out our blog: Snowboard Size Chart & Guide: Find Your Perfect Board.

Which binding should I pair with kids snowboards?

We offer the Happy Mountain Package, which includes the board and bindings for the youngest riders. For all other kids and youth snowboards, the best choice is the Eclipse binding. It comes in Blue (Size XS) and Black (Size S) and delivers the right mix of comfort, support and easy adjustability for growing riders.
