Nomad Trim-To-Fit By Size Skins with Quick Tension Tail Clips are made for backcountry touring in any snow condition. The skin fibers are 70% Mohair / 30% Synthetic Nylon which provides the perfect balance of glide, grip and durability. These skins come in three sizes and have Quick Tension Tail Clips already attached. They must be trimmed to the width of your Jones splitboard.

Skins' features

Ever Dry (Bluesign approved)

Jones skins are treated with EVER DRY anti-glopping treatment. The coating keeps the skins from absorbing moisture and prevents snow/ice build-up under the skin.

70% Mohair / 30% Nylon

Jones Nomad and Nomad PRO climbing skins are both made with a blend of 70% natural mohair fiber and 30% synthetic nylon. The mohair offers unmatched glide and a supple skin feel while the nylon improves grip and water repellency.

Grip Tech

Grip Tech skins are made with a special material that works well under dynamic tension and has a high resistance to twisting and abrasion.

Rubber Safer skins

Jones skins are laminated with a rubber backing that prevents skins from getting waterlogged. Drier skins are safer as they are less likely to lose adhesion to your skis in critical situations.

Universal tip clip

The Universal Tip Clip securely fastens the skin to the tip of the split ski. It is compatible with any board shape and all splitboard brands.

Quick Tension tail clip

The Quick Tension Tail Clip is a lightweight tail clip system designed to fit all 2016 and newer Jones splitboards (except Discovery). Jones splitboards have a notch cut into the tail of both skis that allows the Quick Tension Tail Clip to simply slide into the notch and secure the skin. The Quick Tension Clip features a durable rubber tail strap and compact metal clip.

Universal tail clip

The Universal Tail Clip is designed to keep skins locked on in the most challenging snow conditions. The clip anchors on both the inner edge and outside tail edge and provides adjustable skin tension using the attached stretcher strap. The Universal Tail Clip is compatible with all splitboard brands.

New Jones 22/23 Trim-To-Fit By Size Skins feature the Universal Tip Connector and both the Quick Tension Tail Clip and Universal Tail Clip. Both clips are easily swappable. The Quick Tension Tail Clip is designed to fit all 2017 and newer Jones Splitboards (except Youth Solution).

Jones Trim-To-Fit By Size Skins have different length options and only need to be trimmed to width. The Quick Tension Tail Clip comes attached to the skin and only requires a simple one-time fit adjustment.
