Warranty Program

Jones guarantees all products sold by Jones Authorized Dealer to be free of defects in material or craftsmanship for a limited period (see below) from the date of purchase.

If a product is found to be defective, Jones responsibility shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. Jones will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of the defective product.

2+1 Warranty: Boards

Register your snowboard now to unlock the third year of the warranty.

All boards (starting season 2019/2020) purchased after April 2019 from a Jones Authorized Dealer are eligible for an extended 2+1 year warranty.

Lifetime Warranty: Outerwear

Register your snow jacket, pant, bib or puffy now to unlock a limited lifetime warranty.

Important - All potential warranty claims must meet this criteria:

  1. Product must be within the warranty period (See below for the warranty period of each product category.)

  2. All claims must include a proof of purchase that clearly identifies the dealer and purchase date. (If proof of purchase cannot be provided, Jones will use the manufacturing date as the start of the warranty period.)

  3. Warranties apply only to Jones products purchased from Authorized Jones dealers and are valid for the original buyer only.


Please carefully read our limited warranty policy to verify your product is eligible for warranty consideration.

Returning product for warranty/repairs

We evaluate every claim carefully and if we cannot repair an item and it’s covered under warranty, we will replace it with the same item or a similar item of equal value.

Warranty procedures vary based on where your Jones product was purchased:

Defective product purchased from a Jones dealer must be returned to the point of purchase. The dealer will submit your warranty claim and arrange replacement or refund if claim is accepted.

If you have purchased your product in a different country than the one that your are currently living in, and are unable to submit a claim to the shop where you bought it, please contact us here.
If the warranty claim is accepted, a flat fee will be charged to cover shipping & duties from our EU warehouse.

Contact customer service at the online dealer where you bought the item. The online dealer will submit your warranty claim and arrange replacement or refund if claim is accepted.


Warranty Claim Procedures

If you feel a product purchased on jonessnowboards.com has a manufacturer’s defect, please submit your claim here. We will contact you within 3 business days to let you know if your claim was approved, denied or requires inspection.

If your claim is approved, you must send the defective product back to our warehouse. We will email you a shipping label to return the defective product. Upon our receipt of the defective product, we will send you a replacement product or refund the purchase price.

If your claim requires inspection, you must send the product to our warranty center. You must pay shipping costs to send the product to us for inspection. If your claim is approved after inspection, we will send you a replacement product or refund the purchase price. We will also reimburse your shipping costs to send the product in for inspection with valid shipping receipt. If your claim is denied after inspection, but you want the product returned, you will be responsible for the shipping costs to send the product back to you.

If your claim is denied, but you feel the claim is valid, you may request an inspection at our warranty center. You must pay shipping costs to send the product in for inspection. If your claim is approved after inspection, we will send you a replacement product or refund the purchase price. We will also reimburse your shipping costs to send the product in for inspection with valid shipping receipt. If your claim is denied after inspection, but you want the product returned, you will be responsible for the initial shipping costs as well as those to send the product back to you.

Sorry, products purchased online from non-authorized Jones dealers are not covered by warranty. If the eBay seller you bought the item from is an official reseller/dealer then please contact them to arrange a warranty.

Warranty period

Jones guarantees all snowboards and splitboards to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for a period of:

Snowboards & Splitboards purchased between January 2016 - April 2019: Three (3) years from the original date of purchase at a Jones Authorized Dealer.

Snowboards & Splitboards purchased after April 2019 (and all 2019 models): Two (2) + one (1) year from the original date of purchase at a Jones Authorized Dealer. Register your board here to unlock the third year of the warranty.

Upon registration, Jones outerwear (snow jackets, pants, bibs and puffy only) are covered by a Lifetime Warranty that covers defects in materials and craftsmanship for the life of the outerwear to the original owner.

In order to benefit from the lifetime warranty, please register your product HERE. If you choose not to register, the warranty period is 1 (one) year from the original date of purchase at a Jones Authorized Dealer.

Registration need to be made within 10 weeks of purchase at Jones Authorized Dealer to unlock lifetime warranty.

‘Lifetime’ refers to the reasonable lifetime of the product, materials and components and not the lifetime of the consumer or ours. The finished product’s lifetime depends on how well it’s taken care of and how much use it gets. Outdoor adventures can be rough on your gear and taking care of your equipment will increase the lifetime of the product. Someone who splitboard or snowboard 100 days a year should expect that they will wear out their equipment at a significantly higher rate than a less frequent user. All our outerwear are at the highest quality and manufacturing standards, but even the best materials have a lifespan and will degrade. We evaluate a product’s lifetime by its intended use and how much use it gets, and not by how old it is. Jones does not give or imply an expected lifetime for any outerwear - acceptable wear-and-tear, as well as product life span, will be determined at Jones’s discretion.

Backpacks

Jones guarantees all backpacks to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for life. Read below « Lifetime Warranty (Backpacks) » for more information.

Jones guarantees all bindings baseplates components (hanger, kingpin and mounting ring/post) to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for life. Read below «Bindings Warranty » for more information.

All other binding parts have a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Jones guarantees all climbing skins, mountain safety and poles to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase at a Jones Authorized Dealer.

Jones guarantees all t-shirts, hoodies, headwear and accessories to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for a period of (180) days from the original date of purchase at a Jones Authorized Dealer.

Warranty limitations

The warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing. Jones products are not covered by any verbal warranties.

Wear and tear

Nothing lasts forever, even though we wish it could! Products exposed to the elements and used frequently can show wear and tear faster than those used less frequently. Your product may simply have reached the end of its lifetime.

Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for return shipping.


ROCK DAMAGE AND ANY OTHER IMPACT RELATED DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

  1. Any intentional damage or unintentional damage caused by the rider’s carelessness, abuse, misuse, or neglect.
  2. Impact damage such as from rocks, stumps, rails, etc.
  3. Any damage caused by, related to, or resulting from modifications made after purchase and not authorized by Jones.
  4. Stress cracks in lacquer and non-structural cracks on used snowboards.
  5. Scratches, chips, and/or indentations in the topsheet.
  6. Graphic fading, discoloration, or other aesthetic blemishes that do not impair performance.
  7. Abrasion.
  8. Minor base irregularities, including base dimples in binding insert area.
  9. Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of bindings.
  10. Damages caused by using improper length of binding mounting screws.
  11. Improper rider-board match (i.e. too much weight on a too short board).
  12. Spinning or stripped inserts caused by improper mounting of binding hardware.
  13. Damages incurred in shipping.
  14. Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
    1. Structural cracks and water infiltration on top laminate, base, core, or sidewall due to improper lamination.
    2. Topsheet, edge, sidewall, tip and/or tail protector delamination.
    3. Tip and/or tail radius lacquer cracks causing a loss of adhesion to top surface.
    4. Insert cracks, structural cracks, or water infiltration around the inserts.
    5. Spinning or stripped inserts (not caused by improper mounting of binding hardware).
            1. Any intentional damage or unintentional damage caused by the rider’s carelessness, abuse, misuse, accident, or neglect.
            2. Impact damage such as from rocks, snowboard/split/ski edge cut, crampons, ice axes, poles, lifts, stumps, rails, etc.
            3. Normal wear and tear
            4. Stains
            5. Any damage caused by, related to, or resulting from modifications made after purchase and not authorized by Jones.
            6. Graphic fading, fading colors, discoloration, or other aesthetic blemishes that do not affect the product’s functionality.
            7. Abrasion.
            8. Damages incurred in shipping.
            9. Packed out insulation.
            10. Items bought used
            11. Loss of waterproof coatings or treatments
            12. Discoloration/shrinking/pilling caused by failure to follow our washing instructions.
            13. Use of bleaches, wash additives, dry cleaning, over drying, and/or the failure to properly wash


            Gore-Tex

            Defects in Gore-Tex fabric will be covered by Gore-Tex's warranty and will be subject to their inspection and approval.

            1. Loss of mounting and assembly screws.
            2. Destroyed or stripped mounting or assembly screws due to use of incorrect screwdriver.
            3. Impact damage such as from rocks, stumps, rails, etc.
            4. Any damage caused by, related to, or resulting from modifications made after purchase and not authorized by Jones.
            5. Scratches, chips, and/or indentations in the bindings/straps.
            6. Graphic fading, discoloration, or other aesthetic blemishes that do not impair performance.
            7. Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of bindings.
            8. Damages caused by using improper length of binding mounting screws.
            9. Damages incurred in shipping.
            10. Damage caused from chairlift breakage.
            11. Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.

            Jones backpacks lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and craftsmanship for the life of the pack to the original owner. All claims must include proof of purchase from an authorized Jones dealer.

            ‘Lifetime’ means the lifetime of the product and not the lifetime of the consumer. The product’s lifetime depends on how well it’s taken care of and how much use it gets. Outdoor adventures can be rough on your gear and taking care of your equipment will increase the lifetime of the product.

            Normal wear and tear damage, damage caused by misuse, improper care or impacts/accidents are not covered by this warranty. Wear and tear is the inevitable damage resulting from normal use and exposure. Losses or costs incurred as a result of defects in materials or craftsmanship are also not covered.

            If your pack should ever fail due to a defect in materials or craftsmanship, we will repair it free of charge or replace it at our discretion.

            Outerwear Repairs

            It is our mission to repair and extend the life of our products whenever possible.

            If the repair is caused by an approved manufacturing or material defect we will cover the cost of the repair.

            If your item is not covered under the warranty policy but is repairable, we can return the item to you “as is” or complete the repair for a reasonable charge. We’ll contact you to discuss your options.

            Repairs are made in order to restore an item to the original functionality and may not result in a factory appearance.

            We will refuse service to any item not freshly washed (including equipment). The health and safety of our employees is a top priority. Your unwashed items will be immediately returned without being evaluated. See your product’s care label for washing instructions.

            Jones does not cover the product during shipping from the consumer to the center making the repair(s), and is not liable for any damages or costs resulting from the loss of use.

            Repair Status

            The repair turnaround time depends on the type of repair. Our typical repair turnaround time is 6-8 weeks, but can be longer during our peak winter season, November - March.

            We will contact you with the repair turnaround time once we have completed our evaluation.

            DIY Repair

            Additional Information

            If a product is found to be defective by Jones, in its sole discretion, Jones’s only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product.

            In the event an exact product replacement (Model, size, and/or color) is no longer available, we may replace your product with one of comparable performance, size, and value.This applies to replacement parts as well.

            Repaired items will be subject to available parts. We will do our best to match colors and styles but we cannot guarantee that you will receive the exact product back.

            Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only.

            Customers/dealers are responsible for shipping charges to submit boards for warranty inspection. Return shipping cost for valid claims will be covered by Jones.

            Your product does not need to be registered for warranty, but you will need a valid proof of purchase from an Authorized Jones Dealer to pursue your warranty claim.

            We highly recommend that you select any tracking and insurance options for the package you send.

            Jones does not cover the product during shipping from the consumer to the center making the repair(s), and is not liable for any damages or costs resulting from the loss of use.

            ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HEREBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
