Details

Shape & profile

A snowboard's outline defines many of its characteristics, from how it turns or floats in powder to its performance riding switch. Shape affects everything from the width and taper of the nose and tail, to the position of the stance relative to the board's center.

Shape image

[Shape]

Directional Twin

Twin-inspired shape with subtle directional tuning. A slightly longer nose improves float and handling in variable terrain when riding forwards, without limiting its switch performance. The go-to shape for all-mountain riders who want the best of both worlds.

[Pr0file]

CamRock

Versatile all-mountain profile featuring camber between the bindings with equal amounts of rocker in the nose and tail. Camber delivers pop and precise edge control, while the rocker adds forgiveness, smoother turn initiation and better float in soft snow.

[Tracti0n_tech]

High Traction Tech

High Traction Tech features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding). The middle bump is bigger than the outside bumps for better grip and control.

3D Contour Base

Shape image

Surf-inspired shaping for next-level performance.

Inspired by the rounded bottom contours of surfboards, 3D Contour Bases are designed to make every run smoother and every turn more effortless by reducing the drag of the board tips. 3D Contour Bases enhance glide and improve float, helping you ride faster and with better flow. Learn more

[3d_pr0file]

Medium 3D Contour Base

3D Contour Base tuned for all-terrain featuring 4mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0-4mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before the contact points.

How it works

Riding flat
Riding flat

When riding flat, the spoon bevel on the edges is not engaged, but it does help smoothly deflect snow away from the nose of the board.

Turn initiation
Turn initiation

As you begin to make a turn, the spoon bevel helps you smoothly roll the board on to your egde with less friction and edge drag.

Mid turn
Mid turn

In the middle of a turn, camber and Traction Tech keep you locked onto your egde in the center of the board while the spoon bevel reduces the "plow effect" of your nose and tail edges.

Awesome board coming from a hybrid rocker.

I usually don’t leave reviews but wow. I came from a lib tech t. Rice pro and was always feeling like my carves were a bit washy and loose. I was also worried that the board would be too hard to handle at this length and width. But wow I was wrong, this board carves so well, turns initiate super easy and feel poppy almost. Small hits off the side pop and absorb really well and at higher speeds I feel way less chatter. The camber on this performs so well it’s crazy how much better I ride on this after just 4 days with it in Austria. Props to Jones, I’m a lifer.

Hey Andrey,
Welcome to the family!
Thanks for taking the time to leave this, coming from a hybrid rocker and making that kind of leap in your riding after just 4 days says a lot. Austria must have been a good time.

I'll ride this board as long as I Live! ✊🤙

I used to have several boards for different conditions but now days I only use two. Mnt twin solid and mnt twin split. I ride groomers, park and pow from my local mountain in sweden to the steepest hills in Zermatt and the mnt twin never disappoint.

I'll ride this board as long as I Live! ✊🤙

We really appreciate the stoke!

Stoked to hear the Mountain Twin is earning a permanent spot in your quiver and delivering across groomers, park, and pow, from Sweden to Zermatt. That kind of all-mountain reliability is exactly what we aim for. Keep riding it hard and enjoying every lap!

Very good board for all mountain.
Light, super good pop, fast base. Can carve but with soft torsion flex will not be easy.

Hey,
Thanks for the feedback on the Mountain Twin. Stoked to hear you’re enjoying the pop, lightweight feel, and speed of the base. Also appreciate the note on wider options and the torsional flex during carving — insights like this really help us refine the line. Enjoy your season out there.

great riding board!!

got back on my mid 2000's K2 Zepplin last season after moving to Florida & a 20 year break when my boys decided they wanted to try snowboarding. After 2 trips last year, they were hooked, so I invested in a mountain twin for this season & could not be happier. Took about 4 days in the Poconos getting comfortable on the new set up & we just spent a week in Killington that felt like I was riding in my early 20's again. Paired up with Burton X step ons & a double BOA Swath boot, this is how riding was always meant to feel - carefree & effortless on a quick responding & nimble set up. Mountain Twin was extremely forgiving & super easy to control. I'm officially a Jones guy for life now, might get my wife the female twin next season.

Thanks for sharing this, we really appreciate the story behind it! It’s awesome to hear how getting back on snow after such a long break and riding with your kids, turned into that kind of experience again. Sounds like the setup really helped bridge that gap and bring back that “easy, carefree” feeling you had years ago. Stoked it all came together for you at Killington and even better that it’s turned into something you’re now sharing as a family. Really appreciate you taking the time to leave this! Keep shredding! :)

A must have to ride better

I received the Jones Mountain Twin 158 Ultra Wide three days ago. I had never had the chance to order it before because it was too narrow at the waist. In other words, the waist width was too slim for me to ride it with my EU size 46 boots (12us).

So I jumped on the opportunity to order the Ultra Wide version, and after riding more than 40 different snowboards in my life, I can confidently say that this is simply one of the best boards I’ve ever had under my feet.

The edge hold is excellent. The slightly lifted shape at the nose and tail is very forgiving, yet it still allows for very strong edge control even when you’re riding over the tips. That wasn’t the case with the Bataleon Goliath Plus or the Bataleon Disaster Plus, which I previously had in my quiver that lost edge control at high speed in bad terrain.

Until now, I absolutely loved my Capita Indoor Survival and my Rome Agent Pro, but here I have to say we’re a level above.

I was initially worried about a lack of pop, but since 2026 they’ve incorporated carbon into the construction. On this 2027 model the carbon is still present, and I was very surprised to find how lively the board feels and how much pop it actually has.

The pop is very good and the edge hold is excellent. On manuals, butters and nose presses, the board is extremely forgiving and tricks come almost effortlessly. At the same time it’s playful, precise and extremely effective.

I really hope Jones Snowboards will release more Ultra Wide models in their lineup for 2028, because until now the only other one I had was the Jones Frontier 2.0 from this year in 167 Wide, which I also really enjoy. Its width is just sufficient for my size 46 boots when I’m doing eurocarves.

That said, the Jones Mountain Twin clearly surpasses the Frontier 2.0, even though the two boards are not designed for exactly the same type of riding. I like the Frontier 2.0 for relaxed powder sessions, but I have to say the Mountain Twin is simply mind blowing.

I set it up with the nose 1.5 cm longer than the tail, so I didn’t go for a big setback. It plowed through tracked out snow effortlessly and held its edge just so well. I even found myself doing eurocarves with absolutely no difficulty or hesitation.

In terms of carving performance, once the board is locked into a turn I just have to let it run and it feels incredible.

Pop, edge hold, eurocarving ability, manuals, butters, sufficient width for size 46 boots (12us). The board is also light, doesn’t tire your legs and is extremely forgiving. It is simply very well balanced.

You can really feel that since its release, the Mountain Twin has been a board that was extremely well designed, to the point that today it is one of the best boards I’ve ever ridden in my life.

Thanks again for this great surprise. I will probably pick it up in 161 later on for a more aggressive backcountry freestyle program, although the 158, thanks to its width, will already allow me to float very well in powder.

That said, I think the 161 Ultra Wide will probably be a bit stiffer. I really hope they do the same thing with the Jones Mountain Twin Pro and with other models in the Jones lineup.

I’ve recently owned boards like Never Summer proto synthesis 159df and proto fr 162df ; Lib Tech travis rice 161w &164w, utility knife 157w ; CAPiTA sbpt 156/159/162, BSOD 169w, indoor survival 161w ; Rome agent pro 161w and artifact pro 158w ; Bataleon disaster + 156w, goliath+ 161w ; Nitro magnum 167w , team pro 162w and pantera 166w ; GNU gremlin 161w ; Ride twinpig 156w ; YES standard uninc DC 162w ; Lago double barrel 160w and Goodboards novum 161 xxw, but I have to admit I’m quite surprised to see how well the Jones mountain twin 158uw model performs under my feet.

Thanks for the incredibly detailed feedback, Maxime! It’s awesome to hear how well the Mountain Twin 158 Ultra Wide is working for you, especially with size 46 boots. Sounds like the mix of edge hold, pop, and forgiveness is hitting the sweet spot for your riding style. We’re stoked it’s earned a place among the best boards you’ve ridden.

A True “One Quiver Board” That Transformed My Riding

I bought the Mountain Twin (154cm) at the beginning of this season after seeing it described as a true “one quiver board.” I was originally planning a trip to Park City and wanted something that could handle everything — groomers, jumps, powder, speed — without needing multiple setups. This board has absolutely lived up to that reputation and more.

Last winter was my very first season snowboarding, and I only went about eight times. After riding the Mountain Twin just three times this season and getting comfortable on it, people on the mountain couldn’t believe it was only my second year. Several were genuinely shocked at how little experience I had. That’s how much confidence and progression this board gave me.

It took me from a beginner to a strong high-intermediate rider in one season.

I’ve ridden it all winter on the East Coast at Stowe, Gore, Jiminy Peak (where I’m also a snowboard instructor), and Mount Snow. It handles icy groomers, fresh snow, and variable conditions effortlessly. It glides through powder, feels incredibly stable at speed, carves beautifully, pops well on jumps, and tracks confidently on catwalks without feeling catchy.

I’m taking it out West to Heavenly this week and can’t wait to see it in bigger terrain — though based on this season, I already know it’s going to shine.

I’ve been on the mountain several times a week all winter, and I’m especially grateful I got to make the most of this season with this board since I’ll be missing next winter due to Army training. This board made an unforgettable season even better.

If you want one board that truly does it all and helps you progress fast, this is it.

*For reference I am 5' 8" and 140lb female and the 154 cm has been perfect*

Hey Kira. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We’re stoked to hear the Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard helped boost your confidence and progression so quickly. It sounds like you had an amazing season across the East Coast, and we hope it treats you just as well out in Heavenly Mountain Resort. Best of luck with your Army training, and we look forward to seeing you back on the mountain soon!

LOVE IT

I’m an intermediate rider and this board has been amazing for progression. I ride with a variety of friends so it’s so nice to have an all mountain board like this. Catching groomers, trre runs, jumps, park, this handles it all. It’s a Lorne sketchy on our ice but it’s still holds on. I love the flex and pop!!

Hi Jonathan, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We're thrilled to hear that our board has been a great fit for your riding style and has helped you progress. We designed it to handle all types of terrain and it's great to know that it's living up to its versatility. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you continue to enjoy shredding on it!

Love this board. Went a little longer of a board than I’m used to but handles and turns really great. No complaints

Hi Jack,

That’s great to hear! Sizing up can definitely add some extra stability, and we’re stoked that the Mountain Twin is still handling and turning exactly how you want it to. Thanks for the review :)

This board has honestly been a game changer for my riding

This board has honestly been a game changer for my riding.

I was looking for a snowboard that could help me improve my technique, feel more confident at speed, and still be fun and forgiving enough to enjoy every day on the mountain. The Mountain Twin turned out to be exactly what I was searching for.

What impressed me the most is how balanced and trustworthy this board feels. It holds an edge incredibly well, feels stable when carving, and gives you clear feedback without ever feeling nervous or punishing. It pushes you to ride better, but it never betrays you — even when conditions change or you make a small mistake.

I’ve noticed a real technical progression since riding this board: cleaner turns, better edge control, more confidence on steeper terrain, and less fatigue over long days. It feels intuitive, predictable, and solid underfoot, which lets you focus on your riding instead of fighting the board.

At the same time, it remains versatile and playful. It works great on groomers, handles variable snow without issues, and still allows for a more relaxed, fun approach when you want to ride with a freestyle mindset. Truly an all-mountain board you can ride in almost any condition.

This board has marked a turning point in my snowboarding journey. It’s helping me build the skills and confidence I need to slowly move toward freeride, which has always been my long-term goal.

I would highly recommend the Jones Mountain Twin to anyone who wants a do-it-all board that supports progression, rewards good technique, and delivers pure riding enjoyment.

Great all-mountain board in a directional twin

Love the responsiveness. It's a camber board and performs like it. 6'4 215 and got a 168W. It feels stable and when I get on the edges they hold. Not a big park guy but love the steep and deep, and this board performs in it. I was worried the flex was going to be a little too soft but so far I've feel like the pop is still there to be a great all mountain board.

Hi Tyce,

We're stoked the 168W Mountain Twin is delivering the stability and responsiveness you need! Thanks for the review :)
