Baseplate

Baseplate image

Fusion XR Baseplate

Engineered for board feel and edge power.

The Fusion XR Baseplate is engineered to disappear under your feet and feel like a natural extension of your board. Its asymmetrical, low-profile shape is built from an innovative blend of four materials, delivering the ideal balance of strength, cushioning, and response.

Pure board feel, instant edge power

The only hard contact with the board is the precision-shaped, ultra-minimal ring around the disc (red). Around it is vibration-absorbing foam (yellow) that preserves natural flex and cushions every ride. This minimal-footprint design flexes naturally for pure board feel and energy transfer, delivering powerful edge response while still allowing lateral flex for ultimate control.

Baseplate volume

The FASE System is seamlessly integrated into the heelcup without adding bulk. The Mercury FASE Binding in size Medium measures 294 mm in length, identical to other Jones bindings.

Features

ImpactCush Pad

Designed for all-day comfort, the ImpactCush Pad sucks up board chatter in rough terrain and dampens the impact of heavy landings. The sliding pad seamlessly integrates with the FASE System and features a 3° cant for added turn response.

DualFlex Ankle Strap

Asymmetric design features a stiff TPU core for response and softer TPU edges for all-day comfort and universal boot fit.

Adaptive Fit Toe Strap

The Adaptive Fit Toe Strap features a flexible exterior outline that shapes to your boot, a denser center spine that ensures a secure lock and a textured interior surface that grips onto your boot.

Alloy Buckles

High-grade aluminum buckles engineered for maximum durability. The toe buckles incorporate the LSR 2.1 Auto-lock technology.

Universal Mounting Disk

All Jones bindings are compatible with any brand snowboard. They come with a universal mounting disk that works with 4x4, 2x4 and EST/ Channel mounting systems.

LSR 2.0 Auto-Lock Toe Buckle

Simply set it and forget it. Designed to remain in position to complement the Fast Entry System. The Locking Slap Ratchet 2.0 and unique tri-toothed ladder allow you to ‘set it and forget it’ or make easy on-the-fly fit adjustments.

Tool-less strap adjustment

Change strap length on the fly with just a flick and twist of your wrist.

Highback

Highback image

AsymFlex Highback: engineered for the perfect balance of power and comfort.

The AsymFlex Highback features a mid-wide profile and mid-stiff flex that deliver rock-solid edge control when locking into carves, while still offering enough give to tweak grabs and style out turns.

Asymmetrical + winged outline: shaped to match your boot for a natural fit and efficient power transfer. The external wing adds leverage and drive through turns at any stance angle. The lower section stays stiffer for control and support, while the upper section is softer for comfort and mobility.

Asymmetrical spine: reinforced on the external side for powerful response, softer on the internal side for tweakability and all-day comfort.

2-Position forward lean: tool-less adjustment for a reactive or more relaxed ride.

Folding highback: kick it forward for clear chairlift rides, easy skating, or compact storage.

The Mercury FASE has really good power

The Mercury FASE has really good power transfer and is quick in and out. You get the feel of a two strap binding, without all the fuss. The only problem that I have is, sometimes the ankle ladder strap comes out of the middle of the guide.

Hey Rob thanks for the feedback! Stoked you like the FASE so far. Do you know why the ankle ladder is coming out of the midddle of the guide? Do you need a new toolless screw?

Straight up GAME CHANGER.

What a game changer! Just had my first on these new bindings and I'm so happy I went with the FASE system. I've used traditional strap in bindings for years and was a bit hesitant as I thought these might be a tad gimmicky. Nope... Straight up legit! Super easy on and off the lift but my favorite part are for those rare occasions I'd get stuck on a flat and need to quickly unstrap to kick and then strap back in once I had momentum again. Jones for the win!

Hi Kevin!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our FASE Binding. We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying the system! We designed it to make your snowboarding experience easier and more efficient and it's great to hear that it's living up to its purpose. Keep shredding!

Fantastic all mountain bindings. Took a few runs to get used to FASE but totally worth it. Replaced my Union fights.

Hi Ethan! Thank you so much for leaving a review. We're thrilled to hear that they have been a great addition to your all mountain adventures. We understand that it may take some time to get used to the FASE technology but we're glad it was worth it. Keep shredding! :)

For the price point these bindings are great!

For the price point these bindings are great! Once you have the toe straps dialed in they work as advertised. (If toe strap is too tight, it is hard to step into binding) found that out through trial and error.

It’s quick and a single hand operation in and out;

The feel/support is no different than my previous strap in bindings;

Rode for 4 days at Breck and never sat down to strap in once!!!

Hi Brian. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you are enjoying your bindings and that they have been working well for you on the slopes. We appreciate your feedback and will definitely take your tip about adjusting the toe straps into consideration for future improvements. Keep shredding!

Not so happy with the bindings

After just 2 days on the slopes, the toe strap on the back binding broke. Jones team sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, after 5 more days, it broke again. I don't do anything crazy with the bindings - a bit of carving. But when I am on the front edge, the strap always hits the slope (due to its design).

Fast entry system is something you need to get used to (I cannot get used to it, I actually spend more time on "fast" strapping, rather than spending time with my previous "old-fashioned" bindings)

However, once you are in the bindings, performance and responsiveness are pretty good

So far so good!

So far so good! I used them for the first time today and realized while I was loading the car they were missing a screw cover on the heel cup, so had to pay $6 for a set of those plus $6 shipping and that sucks for brand new bindings. Aside from that though, I really liked them! I have been struggling to find something responsive but quick on and off. I am in the Midwest, so aside from a couple trips a year to bigger resorts, I am riding smaller hills and don't want to waste a lot of time strapping in, but I am also not sold on the current menu of step-in options. I rode Switch bindings back in the 90s and loved those, I was sad to see them die. These are light, quick on and off and much more responsive than Flow or SB bindings. They were comfortable all day as well.

Overall, I think these will be my goto bindings now. I am even thinking I will get a second set to throw on my freeride board I take with on trips. The new mountain scheme ones would look pretty sweet on it. I will just have to make sure all the pieces were included!

Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying them so far and that they are meeting your needs for responsiveness and quick on and off. We apologize for the missing screw cover and the inconvenience it caused. We will make sure to address this issue with our team to prevent it from happening in the future.

We are happy to hear that the bindings were comfortable for you all day and that you are considering getting a second set for your freeride board. We agree, the new mountain scheme ones would definitely look great on it! Thank you for choosing our bindings as your go-to option. We appreciate your support and hope you have many more enjoyable days on the mountain with our product.

Happy shredding!

FASE bindings are super intuitive to use. Getting in and out is second nature after a run or two. It is not until you return to a traditional binding that you realize how convenient and fast FASE bindings are. You just get off the lift, slide your back foot in while still gliding, and charge down the mountain.

FASE, Fast Entry! On the first day of riding, I forgot I was on a new binding. The responsiveness and control is amazing.

Victor De Le Rue

Winner of the Freeride World Tour on the Mercury FASE.

I got to really like the Fase bindings after a winter in them. Hardly had to adjust my strap-in process because it’s so seamless, and I just got to be even faster rolling around the mountain all day. Seems like just a little thing, but makes a big difference.

Harry Kearney

Winner of the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom on the Mercury FASE.

The control and response I had in the FASE bindings was unmatched this past winter. The board feel they provided from edge to edge made me feel super confident in steep and technical terrain, where I need to make precise and quick movements. I am excited for where they take me this winter!

FAQ

FASE system & Mercury FASE binding

Is the FASE Fast Entry System trusted by Jones Pro Riders?

Yes! Riders like Jeremy Jones, Victor de Le Rue, Marissa Krawczak, Harry Kearney, and Garrett Warnick rely on the FASE Fast Entry System to push performance every day. Last season, Victor de Le Rue won the Freeride World Tour and Harry Kearney won the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom on their Mercury FASE bindings.

Is it really compatible with any brand of snowboard boots?

Absolutely! The FASE Fast Entry System works seamlessly with all snowboard boots on the market.

Does the FASE Fast Entry System work in deep powder?

Absolutely. Victor de Le Rue and Jeremy Jones trust it every day in all conditions. Obviously in deeper snow, it’s important to take a moment to remove snow from your bindings before getting ready to strap-in, as the FASE Fast Entry System is mountain-tested and deep snow is not a problem. If needed, you can also strap in just like a traditional two-strap binding.

Does the FASE Fast Entry System work in steep terrain?

Yes. The system is designed to perform in every condition and on any terrain. In the rare case (less than 1% of situations) where the terrain makes entry tricky, you can simply unstrap both straps and strap in just like a traditional binding.

Is the FASE Fast Entry System safe?

The FASE Fast Entry System is incredibly safe. It is as secure and safe as existing two-strap binding models and has undergone thousands of hours of on-snow testing and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Is the FASE Fast Entry System durable?

Yes, it’s built to withstand all terrain and conditions! The minimal mechanism has been rigorously tested for over seven years and is trusted by pro riders. Plus, the system comes with a lifetime* warranty.

How much does it weigh?

The FASE Fast Entry System is seamlessly integrated into the Jones Mercury Binding, keeping the weight fully comparable to other high-end two-strap models. The system is extremely minimalistic and weighs 40 g (1.4 oz). The Jones Mercury FASE in size Medium weighs 895 g (31.6 oz), putting it right in line with traditional bindings on the market.

Do I really only need to use one hand to strap-in?

Absolutely! Thanks to our specially designed extra-long FastStrap ladder, which remains attached, strapping in with one hand is effortless for every rider.

Do I need to press any levers to get out?

No, just open the straps and remove your boot as you normally would. We’ve streamlined the process, eliminating unnecessary steps and keeping things simple—no levers required.

Can I snap (fold) my highback onto the heel cup?

Yes, it’s designed for that! The highback FWL block and pedal are specifically designed to snap in and out, allowing you to fold the highback flat for chairlifts, skating, and easy storage. You can also enter the binding without snapping it manually, as it will auto-snap once your boots are in.

Does it add volume to the binding? Is the heelcup thicker?

No. The system is extremely minimalistic and does not add any noticeable size. The Jones Mercury FASE in size Medium has a length of 294 mm, which is fully comparable to any traditional binding and identical to the Jones Mercury without the FASE System.

Will the system make the binding feel loose?

Not at all. The FASE System keeps your boot locked in with the same trusted security as a traditional two-strap binding. Riders often say it feels even more snug and connected, giving them extra confidence on every run.
