Details

Shape & profile

A snowboard's outline defines many of its characteristics, from how it turns or floats in powder to its performance riding switch. Shape affects everything from the width and taper of the nose and tail, to the position of the stance relative to the board's center.

Shape image

[Shape]

Directional Twin

Twin-inspired shape with subtle directional tuning. A slightly longer nose improves float and handling in variable terrain when riding forwards, without limiting its switch performance. The go-to shape for all-mountain riders who want the best of both worlds.

[Pr0file]

CamRock

Versatile all-mountain profile featuring camber between the bindings with equal amounts of rocker in the nose and tail. Camber delivers pop and precise edge control, while the rocker adds forgiveness, smoother turn initiation and better float in soft snow.

[Tracti0n_tech]

Low Traction Tech

Subtle yet effective Low Traction Tech featuring three equal bumps (front binding, board center, back binding) for added edge grip and control.

3D Contour Base

Shape image

Surf-inspired shaping for next-level performance.

Inspired by the rounded bottom contours of surfboards, 3D Contour Bases are designed to make every run smoother and every turn more effortless by reducing the drag of the board tips. 3D Contour Bases enhance glide and improve float, helping you ride faster and with better flow. Learn more

[3d_pr0file]

Low 3D Contour Base

Subtle yet effective 3D Contour Base featuring 2mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0-2mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before the contact points.

How it works

Riding flat
Riding flat

When riding flat, the spoon bevel on the edges is not engaged, but it does help smoothly deflect snow away from the nose of the board.

Turn initiation
Turn initiation

As you begin to make a turn, the spoon bevel helps you smoothly roll the board on to your egde with less friction and edge drag.

Mid turn
Mid turn

In the middle of a turn, camber and Traction Tech keep you locked onto your egde in the center of the board while the spoon bevel reduces the "plow effect" of your nose and tail edges.

GOAT OF BOARDS

Easily the sickest board ever. Fast as heck. Serious control ! The board literally GOES when you point it. Let 2 of my buddies ride it and they immediately went online and purchased one. It's worth the price. Do the right thing !!!!

Deck material

The board is awesome to ride. The only complaint I have is the material used for the top of the board is too soft. It is matte and a permanent scratch can be put into it with the slightest contact from anything. I left a scratch with my fingernail.

Nothing a sticker won't fix though. Riding the board feels great and that is the most important thing

Jones Prodigy Grom Board

We bought this board for our daughter right before her USASA Nationals competition. We were looking for a kids camber board for super pipe and the Jones Prodigy is what we picked. Our daughter Kaylee Rose Tippit ended up 1st in the nation (girls grom) in the super pipe on her Jones board. We could not be happier with the board and the performance. Thanks Jones Snowboards!

Thank you for sharing! Congratulations to Kaylee!

Perfect

My daughter 8 has been riding for 6 years. And riding a 100cm for a couple seasons and full on shredding. She needed a larger board because she is growing and progressing. The 120cm Prodigy is the perfect fit.

We got the Prodigy 115 as our sons first board. After his first trip with it he has improved so much! Highly recommend.

Gift for nephew

Great looking board that I bought for my nephew. However, I'm afraid as an 8 year old he's getting too much attention from the ladies because of this board now, since it's such a juicy looking board. Ladies, he's only 8 years old. Please stop setting countdowns for when he turns 18. He's just trying to snowboard and enjoy the mountain like the rest of us. He loves it and can't wait to ride it.

We have twins and buy

We have twins and buy 2 of these boards new every year and keep coming back year after year. In previous years I would have given these boards 5 out of 5 but this season they both delaminated mid way through the season. I don’t know if the manufacturing process has changed or not but it seems the quality has decreased over the years. I may still purchase these boards for my kids again as I think they are really amazing boards but it has me questioning if I will buy a Jones.

Prodigy 115cm is great

Got the Prodigy 115 for my 7.5 year old. Great size and shape. Was able to give him 5cm more nose than tail which really helped with riding in a little pow. He adapted from a flat to rocker board to this cam rock shape very easily. Love everything about it: Shape, size, graphic. Only downside is that the topsheet seems a little fragile. After maybe 20 days on it there are many dings around the edges from bumping into trees getting rad around Mt. Bachelor with his buddies.

20 Stars from the ripper

As a parent I loved the environmental stance of Jones. Bought this board for my 9 year old. He's on development teams and loves his Prodigy. Poppy in the park, quick response in the bumps and sturdy at high speeds.

Great snowboard for my daughter

I really like the Jones Prodigy board, because the junior model isn't a "kids model", but it's a real snowboard, only a bit smaller.
My daughter has been riding it all winter long, and no complaints. Board handles well, and it's a joy to ride.
I'll definitely consider another Jones board when she grows out of this one.

Jones Prodigy

I purchased this board for my 11-year-old son. He was coming off of his beginner board. He felt immediate confidence on the mountain, and he was willing and follow me anywhere and he kept up.

Graphics are everything!

My kid loved the graphics on the bear-board so much. Used it for one season so far and very little chipping on the sides compared to other boards that were bought at the same time.

Great board !

This is the second year my daughter (12) is riding a Prodigy. Had to size up to the 140 for this season. Stable for all mountain riding and she likes the twin tip and flexiness for park. All around been a great board. And pretty much her whole Freeride team rides Jones boards as well.

Bought a 120 for my 9 year old and couldn’t believe the instant progression, so we bought a 110 for our 7 year old.
We did our first black runs together as a family yesterday!
The kids are so stoked on them. Much fewer edge catches with the 3D bases and they are popping off every hit they can find. They talk about how easy it is to turn.

Excellent Board...make sure to use short baseplate screws (new Burton Grom baseplate screws are t...

My seven year old son made the jump from a 90cm Burton After School Special that he rode the last few seasons to the 110 Jones Prodigy for the start of this season. It took him a couple runs to adjust to the bigger board which he describes as a rocket. He loves it and is connecting turns on it. He also loves how it looks. This is a beautiful board in person. The wood core can be seen through the semi-transparent topsheet, even through the colored graphics. Nicest kids board I've ever seen.

The board came with a sticker on it warning about using binding baseplate screws at your own risk that are too long for the inserts. I figured the baseplate screws/washers that came with my son's brand new 2021 Burton Grom bindings would likely fit. I screwed them in cautiously, and sure enough when I started to tighten a couple of them I could see slight protrusions on the base of the snowboard. I swapped these screws/washers out for some very old Burton screws/washers that happen to be just a hair shorter, and they worked. I was careful not to overtighten.

Went to a local snowboard shop and they hooked me up with some black K2 baseplate screws/washers, and these are considerably shorter and fit the board perfectly. Another option would be to double up washers on the baseplate screws if you can't find shorter screws.
