I had a few Christenson surfboards along the years and i was lowkey looking for one of the surf series boards from their collab. I stumbled across the Storm Wolf this season and i’ve been loving everything about it. In pow is a jewel, everything you wish for. The big nose saved me way too many times not to go over the handlebars and in pow, the deeper, the better it performs with this board.
What really surprised me is how well it performs on the groomers, very very responsive and the big nose lets you engage the edge early and carve hard! Would not change this board for anything

I am a fairly novice rider but am getting hooked pretty quick.
Based on my research the Jones Frontier fit the description of a board I would take a long time to outgrow as well as being within my price range.
After a couple days on the mountain with it, I’m happy to say my riding improved almost immediately!
Have since fitted it with Jones Mercury bindings which I have yet to try.
Very pleased with my decision, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Jones board.

Love this board. Super floaty, nimble yet sturdy when needed on a pow day. Carving on groomers is incredible, has very smooth transition from edge to edge due to the spoon nose and shape. Nothing bad to say about this board. Great job Jones

Weather did cause a delay but my new Storm Wolf arrived before we left for Telluride. Got to the mountain just in time for a few fresh inches. The board handled nicely, especially in the trees with some freshness. No problems on the pack, the Wolf carves!

I am looking for a sponsor or I would consider demoing your boards and or gear as well. Burton is sending me gear but I am more of a Jones guy with my surfing background out of Hawaii.

Das Board habe ich für Japan gekauft. Es hat sich absolut bewährt. Auf der Piste echt Wahnsinn, was für Schwünge in den Schnee gecarvt werden können. Im Backcountry überzeugt es mit top auftrieb. Echt ein Hammer- Vergnügen, mit diesem SB in den Tiefschnee einzutauchen.

I don't know if this is my favorite board- the redesigned storm chaser comes too close. But if I had to keep one and only one board out of my 4 boards, this probably would be it. The Storm Wolf certainly isn't for everyone, but if you like to go fast, dig trenches into the groomers, have a really fun turning experience, do really well in powder and still plow through the chop decently well, this is a really excellent and fun board. For those who spend a lot of time riding switch, tight trees and park, this will have to be a quiver board rather than quiver killer. I find myself wanting to take this board almost every time I go out in a wide range of conditions where I'd normally pull out the Frontier for a well rounded ride.

I haven't had a chance to ride this board yet, but it looks super fun and feels good under the arm. It feels like a longer, more aggressive version of the Storm Chaser.

I have been using my new 152 Mountain Surfer a bunch here in Japan, and it has been super fun. This is my first time riding a pow surfer, and it has been a bit easier than I expected. . . likely due to the bottom contours on the board, as well as the scooped concave deck, which provides good control under feet. Looking forward to getting more comfortable on it and taking it up to some proper bowls.

This board is amazing. . . for advanced and expert riders.

The board is almost like a jetboat where it gets more stable the faster you go. Meaning its a bit hard to control at slow speeds but is an absolute weapon as you go faster. BUT that also means going fast while carving. It is not a board that you can skid turns on very easily nor would you want to.

For the right rider, you are rewarded with a board that feels surfy at high speeds, can plow through chopped powder, and is a weapon in fast and deep snow. Its incredibly fun to carve as well, but it wants to make fast and large carves.

At the end of the day, this actually is a board that only advanced and expert riders should be on. But it is also a fantastic board if you can handle it.

i'm 48 176cm/80kg ride Storm Wolf in 162.
very good board, compared to my 160 flagship its a firmer board i was more tired at the end of the day specially on hard groomers, the stiffer wider board resonate (it's not vibration) more than the flagship.
better edge hold on hard snow + wider board, i felt it better for carving.
very fun slashing soft snow
outperform the flagship in deep pow and slow speed
of course it's not fast edge to edge but not a problem at all
more forgiving than the flagship because of the nose and felt a little imprecise at the begining (because of the nose)
faster board and better glide
swallowtail is not a problem at all
for me it's a quiver board and i can't wait next year to add a third Jones board.

A long time ago, the Storm Chaser found itself alone with the Lone Wolf. The Lone Wolf was pretty standoffish and awkward. The Storm Chaser was all the rage. They got a little saucy and out came the Storm Wolf. And man am I ever grateful for the Love Child. It's the perfect board for 2 conditions and 2 conditions only. Pow, between 2 to 10 inches. And morning roy between the hours of 9am to 10am. This thing likes to go fast and so do I.

The board was so smooth and responsive. Rode it at big sky in deep powder.

Storm Wolf is a great board. Amazing fast on groomers, floats in POW. Total different experience being able to turn over your front foot, even in powder. If you link turns on this board you will reach terminal velocity in 3-4 turns.

Favorite board - I like it so much I have two.

this board is an absolute blast to ride anywhere from groomers to pow. it goes wonderful through chop as well, and it just looks phenomenal. that long cadillac nose and the cutout in the tail, make most other boards look like crap next to you on the lift.
anyway, cant go wrong with this thing.

Best board I own, and I also have a LIB/t rowe, and Burton/flight attendant. The design & look is also on a different level. I get compliments on the mountain from a ton a boardeds.

Storm Wolf 158, amazing, rides flat in pow, no tail drag fast and total control, no heavy back foot, tight turns slow carves, then on the groomers, needs speed, let it run side to side initiates easy, widened a stiffened makes it carve on edge, super control , thank you Jones!

Got a 162 Store Wolf for times when I get to go out cat skiing in the Alpine Chutes with lots of powder. I wanted a board that was longer, and firmer than my smaller slashing, flexy powder board I have. So I went on the search, and being a fan of Jeremy Jones since the decade VHS days I got directed towards the Storm Wolf for my needs. With a name like that who wouldn't want to jump on. Ok lets get on with it. This board has a learning curve to riding it. There is not a lot of forgiveness in your turns, and it isn't the most nimble board to use until you figure it out. I took it out to Fernie on a powder day, some groomers, and I struggled, and did not enjoy it on that terrain where we were having to ride as a lot of the mountain was closed off. I put it away to jump on the smaller board. Unsure if this was the right board for my level of riding intermediate/advanced, I knew I had a cat Skiing day coming up, and decided to give it another opportunity to win myself over, and I am glad I gave it that opportunity!! Once I got this board into the steeps, and deep powder it absolutely shredded, and charged. It was an absolute different board from the first day. Even though it is a large board I was still able to nimble it around through the trees, and pop some wind lipped jumps. This will be my 100% go to on those real deep, and steep days when you need a board that charges, and has the ability to plow over a variety of alpine terrain. Great board, and I am extremely glad I gave it some time to learn it!
